Project Summary
Human Collections is a poignant apparel and lifestyle brand that emerged from the depths of personal adversity, symbolizing the enduring nature of creativity and hope. This project was a deeply personal endeavor, encapsulating the founder's emotional journey through art and fashion. Over six weeks, the brand was meticulously planned and brought to life, culminating in the successful launch of the "human 9.24" collection.
Inspiration and Purpose
The brand's genesis was rooted in the founder's experience with his father's addiction battle, leading to an overdose. The creation of the Human Collections logo and the subsequent brand development became a conduit for reconnection with the beauty of the human spirit, offering hope and inspiration to others.
Brand Essence
At its core, Human Collections is where artistic expression meets wearable design. The debut collection features limited edition black & white hats adorned with the signature hand-drawn human logo, setting the stage for brand recognition and growth.
Completed Brand DNA
- Human: A celebration of the human experience in all its forms.
- Artistic: Creativity infused into every aspect of the brand.
- Creative: Innovative expressions of individuality.
- Inspiring: Motivating self-expression and the freedom to be oneself.
- Universal Language: Connecting diverse cultures and communities through art.
Experience Delivered
The Human Collections brand provides an immersive experience that evokes:
- Artistic Lifestyle: Embracing the DIY artist within each wearer.
- Fashion: Offering cool, confident, and comfortable minimalist unisex apparel.
- Emotion: Inspiring wearers to freely express themselves and embrace authenticity.
Target Audience Engagement
The brand resonates with a unisex demographic aged 16-35, appealing to streetwear aficionados, DIY artists, creators, tattoo culture enthusiasts, and those immersed in creative urban settings.
Campaign Execution
Shoot Environments
The final photoshoot took place in carefully selected environments that aligned with the brand's aesthetic:
- A minimalist white studio provided a clean backdrop, ensuring the focus remained on the models and products.
- Modern artistic spaces, both indoors and outdoors, highlighted the brand's connection to creative environments.
Model Interactions
Models were photographed engaging in various artistic activities, mirroring the creative process behind the Human Collections logo. These dynamic shots showcased the brand's ethos and connected with the target audience's lifestyle.
Styling Approach
The styling for the shoot adhered to a unisex, casual fashion sensibility with a nod to streetwear. Outfits featured a mix of black, white, and denim, avoiding skinny fits in favor of more relaxed and oversized options. The absence of competing logos ensured that the Human Collections brand remained the focal point.
Conclusion
The Human Collections brand launch was a comprehensive project that spanned six weeks from conception to execution. It stands as a testament to the power of art in healing and connecting people, and it now occupies a proud place in my portfolio as a showcase of strategic brand development and emotive storytelling through fashion.
